Fundamental Professional Competences<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

1. In order to enhance students\u2019 competitiveness in pursuing further education and employment, the Department hereby establishes the \u201cImplementation Guidelines for the Professional Fundamental Competency Assessment of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Ming Chuan University,\u201d in accordance with the \u201cImplementation Regulations for Graduation Qualification Assessment of Ming Chuan University Students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Undergraduate Program<\/strong><\/td>\nProfessional Practical Competency in Electrical Engineering<\/td>\nPass the departmental professional practical examination in electrical engineering.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Programming Competency<\/td>\nPass the programming proficiency examination administered by the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science,
\nor complete two Level-1 CPE (Collegiate Programming Examination) problems;
\nalternatively, obtain a programming certification (TQC \u2013 Fundamental Object-Oriented Programming).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Written and Oral Presentation Skills<\/td>\nComplete the written project report, deliver a public presentation,
\nand meet the evaluation standards prescribed by the Department.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Graduate Program<\/strong><\/td>\nResearch Paper Writing Competency<\/td>\nPrior to graduation, submit at least one paper to a domestic or international academic conference or journal
\nand obtain formal acceptance.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Oral Presentation Competency<\/td>\nComplete the Master\u2019s thesis, pass the oral defense,
\nand present the research paper orally at an academic conference.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
In-Service Master\u2019s Program<\/td>\nWritten and Oral Presentation Skills<\/td>\nComplete the Master\u2019s thesis and pass the oral defense.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

2. Students of the Department must meet the graduation qualification standards for English proficiency, information technology competency, Chinese language proficiency, and physical education as prescribed by the University, as well as the \u201cCore Competency\u201d assessment standards stipulated in these Guidelines, in order to graduate. Graduate students must additionally satisfy the professional fundamental competency standards
\nestablished by their respective departments or institutes prior to graduation.<\/p>\n

3. Students shall complete the required core competency assessments during their period of study. The assessment items and criteria are as specified above.<\/p>\n

4. Students who have satisfied the core competency assessment requirements shall submit their examination results or relevant supporting documents to the Department for review. Upon approval, the academic record shall be registered as \u201cAssessment Passed.\u201d<\/p>\n

5. These Guidelines shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Meeting, College Affairs Meeting, and Academic Affairs Meeting, and subsequent authorization by the President of the University.
